Mrs Obama, what's all the fuss about?

I'm not being funny, but why are the press going on about Michelle Obama like she's some sort of uber chic goddess?

She's beautiful, according to Lorraine Kelly and various other members of the daytime TV crowd. Is she? Is she beautiful? I must be looking at the wrong woman, because I thnk she's less than average and to rub salt in, she's got an undershot jaw. Why do the press feel obliged to give outrageous compliments to her? Why do they feel the need to have entire fashion articles dedicated to what she's wearing today? We never seem that bothered about her French counterpart, who IS beautiful and who IS the height of fashion. I wonder why that is?

Allegedly she's the height of fashion!! well I'm not being funny, but the Queen looked trendier than Mrs Obama when they met today.

To be fair old Barrack got the pick of the bunch at school though didn't he?

My favourite moment of today though, was when a Beeb One reporter asked a hoody clad youth why meeting the new first lady was such a special moment? she replied "Coz she's the first black one in it"

I've never had any interest whatsoever in the wives of world leaders, for all I care Obama could be single or divorced, Michelle Obama isn't important to anybody other than her husband and family in the cold light of day.

It is a little odd how the first lady is always lauded in this way, suddenly the height of fashion, absolutely FLAWLESS wife and mother, aswell as the epitome of a strong powerful woman. What exactly is this all based upon? The press seem to love creating a myth around these women and reporting this kind of irrelevant nonsense.

She dresses no more like a 21st Century career girl than chuckles the Clown, who did the entertainment at my Nephew's 5th birthday party and to be fair he probably know's more about poverty than she ever will, coz we paid him a pittance.

Just out of interest, how does dressing like a clown, make a statement about World poverty and the War in Iraq? Is it that she thinks the whole issue is a joke?

Hey Homes, I ain't dissin yo Blackness. If youo read my original blog, it simply stated that I don't think Michelle O is very attractive. At no point did I mention that it was because she is black. I love black women, Beyonce, Hale Berry, Tyra Banks, the list goes on. Why does commenting on the fact that I think Mrs O isn't that attractive, make me a member of the Klan? Bootneck is a nickname given to Royal Marines Commandos, Green berets, of which I have one on my mantel piece, having served for my Country. If it makes you feel better, I think Gordan Brown's wife is as ugly as f*ck too and she's as white as a white thing. The only prejudiced opinions being aired in these comments are from "brother's and sisters" to quote the majority of commenters on this post.
